A few members of the BarnLocator crew were invited to participate in Law Enforcement Week with the National Mounted Police Services along with over 40 other mounted police units from across the country. The units participated in three days of training at the Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, Maryland, as well as ceremonies in D.C. each night. The ceremonies ranged from a candlelight vigil by horseback at the Washington Monument, to horseback tours of downtown Washington D.C. led by officers of the United States Park Police, and ending with honoring the surviving families of fallen law enforcement officials at which President Obama delivered the key note address.
After three days of police escorts in and out of D.C. and a bunch of new friends from as far as Washington and Colorado, it was time to trailer up and head back to Jersey. Until next time D.C.! Thanks for the southern hospitality!
